  New Video aka Sparlock- View of Active JW

  so over the weekend i was in a cargroup for service, yes i still go out but i dont ring doorbells or knock i just go out to keep wife and other elders off my back, anyway the video came up and i said nothing about it but the other 3 people in the car ( a pioneer and 1 elder, 1 publisher) said that it was good.

  yes you heard correctly good!

  the pioneer even stated that the annimation was good and it is short enough to hold a young childs attention.

  i know that the jw's probably won't get it but i think the drumbeat should go on because this video on the internet which just about everyone makes use of draws a clear picture of what jw's are about and will affect outsiders perceptions.

  New Short movie about Ex-JW

  dear fellow members,.

  after hard labouring and a huge pile of creative and artistic (philosophical) deccisions, i finaly finished a 13 min short movie.. at the filmschool (wich i'm attending) the jurry was impressed by story (and movie in general).. .

  this short movie tells the story of thomas, who has to chose between being loyal to the congregation, or his elder (shunned) brother.. it mainly foccuses on this feeling we might all had, that the discreet slafe, stands between god and man, and is messing up familly relations.. (math 10:37).. .

  One brother told me in the past not to worry about resolving any conflicts in the congregation, he told me to concentrate on my spirituality.

  Nephew Readying for Harvard

  since he disregarded the elders' "encouragement" to turn down the fellowship offer from harvard, he's being deleted as a ministerial servant.. he leaves in august.. i'm so happy for and proud of him!.

  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  Stayed at a bed and breakfast for two nights first time it was very interesting. The place was filled with antiques and it makes you nervous that you'll knock something over and break it. We stayed in the washington room and there were so many washingtons that it felt like they were appearing out of nowhere. It was like every imaginable george Washington item filled every inch of space and it took awhile to even notice them all. the innkeeper was a bit of a fuddy duddy type but very nice and prepared an excellent breakfast both mornings.
